Get ready to see Coco in person!

The latest rumors have come out that Conan B’Brien will be hitting the road for a comedy tour as he waits for the provision in his contract with NBC baring him from TV appearances to expire. Should the Coco Tour come to fruition, Conan OBrien tickets are going to be some of the hottest comedy tickets out there. There are fans that have been following Conan for more than 10 years, and now they won’t have to travel to New York to see him. Details are still sketchy, but it looks like a Conan OBrien Tour in spring/summer of 2010 will be happening. According to the New York Times article: “[r]epresentatives of Mr. O’Brien . . . confirmed Friday that plans were in the works to book what is being called “a revue” starring Mr. O’Brien in theaters in major cities from California to New York, and perhaps parts further east and west — and maybe north.” That should make Conan OBrien tickets a hot item all over the country.

This is terrific news for all the fans of Coco out there who are going to need a fix of their favorite comedian as he waits to return to television. The Conan OBrien Tour news was first reported by TheWrap. Conan’s representatives, William Morris Endeavor, confirmed to The Wrap that the Conan Comedy tour is in the works. It seems like a Conan OBrien Tour will get the comic to avoid the contract settlement he got from NBC after their messy divorce. As part of the deal O’Brien was not allowed to appearing on television until September of 2010. However there was nothing in there about live comedy shows.

Some insiders are thinking this is just the thing to keep Conan in the public eye as he waits for his return to television. “Team Coco’s fervor is fading, and pretty soon the new story will be how Jay’s doing back in his old time slot, whether NBC can leverage a post-Olympic ratings bump, if Letterman can turn this into the best ratings of his career. The time for a Conan tour is right now” says Margaret Lyons of EW.com.

In case you have been living on a rock, on Mars, with your fingers in your ears, Conan O’Brien recently was fired by NBC after hosting the Tonight Show for just seven months. He had taken over the show from Jay Leno, whose show was moved to a prime time spot. After the new Jay Leno show proved to be a terrible lead-in for local news, local affiliates revolted, even threatening to run their own programing during the 10 p.m. slot. It was then that NBC head Jeff Zucker had the idea to return Leno to an 11:30 time slot, and move Conan’s Tonight Show to 12. However Conan would have none of it, releasing a statement that said “I believe that delaying The Tonight Show into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting. The Tonight Show at 12:05 simply isn’t the Tonight Show. . . Every comedian, every comedian dreams of hosting ‘The Tonight Show.’ And for seven months, I got to do it. And I did it my way with people I love. I do not regret one second of anything that we’ve done here,’ he said in part of the Conan OBrien Tonight Show Statement.

Well NBC’s loss is live comedy’s gain, and Conan O’Brien tickets should be on sale before you know it. Stay tuned to Conan OBrien tickets to find out all the latest Conan Tour News.
